Frank Figueroa - Exposed Himself
Frank Figueroa works for department of Homeland Security as a high ranking agent. He is in charge of the Tampa Office of Immigration and Custom Enforcement of the Department of HLS. He was special agent from the Department of Homeland Security working with an anti-child predator program called Operation predator.
Figueroa was charged with the accusation of exposing himself to an under age girl in a food court of a mall. The girl told the mall security officer about the incident where Figueroa fondled with himself for at least 10 minutes while sitting in the malls food court. Figueroa was arrested on October 25.
During trial Figueroa told the Judge that he may have inadvertently exposed himself while `scratching` himself. On April 5, 2006, he pleaded guilty to having exposed himself to the under aged girl. However his wife and 14 year old daughter testified on his behalf.
Judge Leon Cheek III sentenced Figueroa to one year probation, a $500 court fine and 200 hours of community service. He also ordered him to undergo a psychological evaluation and write a letter of apology to the victim. His contact with minors during probation was limited and he was also barred from malls and food courts and places where children gather. However the sentence ruling of the Judge Cheek also says that there will be no record of his conviction if he successfully completes his probation.
Figueroa will get to keep his pension after his retirement. He plans to retire in August.
